from the start
once “admired”
now “disregarded”

like divergent
mysteries
veils cloaks
long black robes
sun-filled patios

political posters
“beauty” counter-
balanced
by “unreality”

misty and indistinct
thick fluffy fleeces
being given
a sense of peace

as both a person
and as a means
by providing shielding

depicting leaves
fluttering
in the breezes

astonishingly “free”
yet frighteningly glinging
precisely positioning

flirtatious tiltings
endless distances
kindly ineffectual

like great giants trying
futilely to straddle the horizon
and dominate the sky

as conquering armies
looming largely
upon coming home to art
